About Csermely
Csermely was founded in 2003 as an organisation based in Szeged, Hungary, operating across local, national, and international levels. As its name suggests, the NGO takes inspiration from nature, and envisions itself as an evolutionary force, seamlessly integrating with its surrounding elements to enhance community welfare on both local and global scales. Central to its mission is the promotion of sustainability, offering guidance and expert advice on eco-friendly practices to NGOs, businesses, and vocational education and training institutions.
With the rise of sustainability as a critical global issue, Csermely has seen an expansion in its activities, team, and network. We joined multifaceted initiatives, and elevated their quality with green practices and pedagogical methods. With the needs of our target group growing, our fields of activities, interest, and partnerships have also experienced a significative expansion. At the moment, Csermely delineates two principal areas of focus:
1.Promoting sustainability and environmental consciousness through education and consultancy
2.Enhancing vocational education and training programs through capacity building and networking
Our Mission
In its commitment to environmental protection and green education, Csermely has been pivotal in nurturing an active environmental stewardship among youth and adults, both locally and internationally. We spearheaded and collaborated on numerous local and international projects aimed at the cultivation of green skills and practices in individuals and institutions at the same time.
