OUR PIONEERING VET PROJECTS:
EDUVETerinary: Improving the EDUcation of VETerinary assistants in Africa through international cooperations
Our most recent capacity building project targets exchanges between the VET systems of Central Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa. The project aims to strengthen veterinary assistant VET in Sub-Saharan Africa by building multilateral partnerships, promoting practical, work-based learning, and enhancing professional skills. It seeks to align VET training programs with updated animal health laws, regulations, and livestock policies to improve educational quality and preparedness in the region, contributing to the broader goals of EU-Africa Gateway Investment Packages and the Multi-annual Indicative Programmes. As the Hungarian partner in the project, Csermely contributes to realising the project aims with years of expertise in vocational education, skill-development, educational material development and green practices.
CookEU
The project aimed to increase the intercultural understanding of the neighbouring countries through traditional dish-making. Relying on a blended approach, the programme implemented VET learner apprenticeships for students enrolled in chef and pastry profiles in 5 programme countries in order to learn the traditional dishes and methods of preparation of the consortium countries. This was followed by a digital workshop, where the participants have created an online recipe book, with the gathered the recipes and shared it in their institutions.
Connected Through Mobility
Csermely was an associated partner of the 3,5 years long project, which was approved under the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance II, with a value of 1 million euro, aims to connect the 6 countries in Central Europe with the 4 Western Balkan countries. It promoted the innovation and internationalisation of VET institutions in the Western Balkans through student and educator mobilities, business-education conferences, job-shadowing activities and conferences on topics such as startup and innovation. As the associated partner, Csermely has succesfully secured the support of the International Visegrad Fund to complement CTM acitivities with a stakeholder summit and four student apprenticeship programmes.
Vocational Education Mobility between the V4 Countries
Through the International Visegrad Fund, Csermely has sent and hosted over 30 vocational students for apprenticeships in their industry network, in order to enhance the professional skills of the young people and better prepare them for the labour market realities.
